Port State Inspection Preparation Course

The Course

This program is intended to provide all existing / new joining officers with 04 hours of classroom training in the understanding various aspects of Port State Control Inspections. This course will provide all sea going personnel with all the required information to prepare and respond properly to Port State Control Inspections. The course provides a brief overview of the procedures and guidelines for Port State Control laid down in IMO Resolution A.1119 (30). It also aims to additionally convey latest deficiencies as identified by various PSC MoUs worldwide.


The Facility

The course is conducted in spacious classroom with modern teaching aids to facilitate comfortable learning.


Aim

A trainee, upon successful completion of the course should be familiar with Port State Control procedures and understand the various guidelines set by IMO Resolution A.1119 (30). The trainee should have understood the common deficiencies as observed by PSC MoUs and be able to identify these deficiencies on board, if they exist, in-order to avoid / minimize occurrence of these deficiencies. The trainee will understand the impact of PSC detention on vessel's commercial viability.
