The Officers and Ratings Pre-departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) is designed to familiarize the Officers and Ratings about the vessel that has been assigned, to also make them up to date with the latest company policies, procedures, alerts and bulletins.

The PDOS is conducted in spacious classrooms with modern teaching aids to facilitate comfortable learning.

To impart information about the vessel the staff are about to join, To enable improvement of Safety, Environmental protection and performance efficiency of our seafarers on joining their vessels.

All officers and ratings joining FML ships.

• For Officers, the PDOS involves Online CBT based training, and interaction with the faculty - 4 hours to 3 days depending on past experience with FML.
• For Ratings it's a Full Day Classroom course.

1. Completion of Recommended and required and pending on TOLAS
2. Completion of required Classroom based trainings
3. Filling the PDOS Check List
4. Completion of all trainings requirements as per appraisal reports
5. Completion of training requirements as per company Training Matrix
