Contributions from the Fleet

The North Pacific in winter is notorious for severe weather conditions and ice accretion as can be seen from these photographs we received from the staff of the M.T. Chembulk Shanghai during her recent visit to Hong Kong.

USCG Introduces Qualship 21 Initiative

Coast guard shall reward quality vessels for their commitment to safety and quality. Therefore, effective March 1, 2001, the Coast Guard has implemented an initiative to identify high-quality ships, and provide incentives to encourage quality operations. This initiative is called Qualship 21, quality shipping for the 21st century. Qualifying vessels will be issued TVE/LOC/PSC certificates with a validity period of 2 years. For further details refer to our General Information Circular No. 77.

We support the above initiative and are taking active steps to have our vessels qualified at the earliest.

Murphy's Work Laws

  1. Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.
  2. When the bosses talk about improving productivity, they are never talking about themselves.
