Bridge Team Management 5 Days Course

The Course

The Bridge Team Management (5 Days Course) is designed to enhance the skill and knowledge about ship handling and efficient management of the bridge team. It consists of theoretical lessons supplemented by computer based training and ship handling simulator exercises.

The Facility

The training institute has a 180-Degree visualization bridge with a full range of bridge equipment that can simulate some of the major dense traffic areas of the world. The simulator is equipped with different ship models that closely resemble the behavioral characteristics of ships at sea in various weather conditions.


To reduce the possibility of accidents that may lead to loss of life, damage to property or environment by enhancing navigational skills of navigating officers.
Develop and enhance officer's (Masters and Chief Officers) understanding of how to handle a vessel in restricted waters and to use to available technical and human resources effectively.

Target Group

Chief Officer or Master (Max 8 candidates in a Batch)


5 working days including 18 hours of training on simulators.

Student Entry Standards (Criteria)

This program is open to and intended for all deck officers joining ships where Fleet Management Limited is the Manager listed in the Documents of Compliance.

Class Size limitations (Theory)

Bearing in mind the aims and objectives of the course, the maximum number of trainees will be 8 per course.

Assessor Competence requirements

Master Mariner with foreign going certification, familiar with company's SMS who have undergone TOTA.
